Arty Farty-ness

Just a quick little post today…

In our art lessons a while back, we had the option to create a design to print on a t-shirt of our choice. I had so much fun doing this that I thought I’d show you all the designs I created...

The first top I designed was inspired by Talia Castellano’s infamous saying. I grew up watching Finding Nemo and it is probably my most favourite film… ever! I love the saying and the meaning behind it. Rest in Peace Talia.

My friend Lucy and I (who you may have seen in a previous blog post) both printed these cutesy tops to be matching- so much for being unique! hahaha. As good friends most often do, we have SO many matching items (tops, bags, underwear, makeup, books- you get the gist!) and we had no problem adding another to the collection! We chose ‘Double the Trouble’ because during the many many moments we are together, trouble is definitely coming in all ways possible!

I loved making them and hopefully am going to find a way to print shirts like this at home!

July Haul!

Hello everyone!

So sorry I haven’t written in a while, I have been very caught up with things to do, people to see! I hope you will excuse me!

Very recently, I have been doing a lot of shopping and have acquired many fabulous things to add to my wardrobe. Lots of the things I bought were for my holiday this summer (which I am looking forward to A LOT!)  and the rest was bought purely as a result of some much needed retail therapy. I thought I would give you a peek at the items purchased eeeeeeee…

In Primark I snatched these two laaarvley tops which are perfect for summer. The first is this cropped Coca-Cola top which I wore to an event paired with a black skater skirt, it was fab!

I bought the following top because it is different to anything I have in my wardrobe currently and I think it would so nice if worn with a pair of frayed white shorts. It’s very casual and very bohemian with the fringe detailing:

In New Look I spotted these two dresses which are absolutely g-o-r-g-e-o-u-s. The blue one I love for its preppy look, it looks very French (or is that just me? Haha.) The white dress is perfect for any more formal events and I adore the silver detailing on the peter pan collar.

H&M had lots and lots of lovely stuff in a recent sale so I snatched up a few items. This pale blue lace back blouse-shirt-top-thingamajig is maybe my mostest favouritest item of clothing ever. Would ya just look at it!

I (more like my mum) bought these fab bikinis to sunbathe in on the beach this summer.

Anyway off to pack for holidays now, I should have new blog posts up more regularly now that I am out of school for the summer.

Tanya Burr Meetup Disaster & London Shopping

Last Wednesday (29^th May) I went, with two other friends up to London. The main reason was to go to Tanya Burr’s meetup which was organised (I say organised, but it really wasn’t :P) in Covent Garden and to do a bit of shopping in the area.

So we jumped on a train up to Charring Cross and headed up. Unfortunately, England’s most famous trait is it's awful weather which was undoubtedly present on the day. Nevertheless we made the most of it! A word of advice; if you are visiting London, you HAVE to go to Paul’s Patisserie and try their macaroons, they are A M A Z I N G!!!!!

When we arrived in Covent Garden it was absolutely packed with girls waiting outside the Apple store who started to form a crowd. We realised Tanya had arrived when half the girls screamed and ran over to her. This is where the trouble started…

Everyone just bunched around her- and I’m talking around 500 people, according to a police officer! She absolutely could not move and I felt so sorry for her, she looked really worried and upset.  Ironically she mentioned in a video that if not many people turned up, they could go for a coffee together. I don’t think that was going to happen when this chaos happened….

So many people!!!

Sadly, she had to leave because so many people were there and it was getting too chaotic and people were getting hurt. Luckily I got quite close to her but didn’t manage to get a photo in all the chaos.

I am a huge fan of Tanya Burr and I think she is super talented and can’t wait to meet her properly another time!

For the rest of the day my friends and I browsed the shops and bought various makeup items which I will talk about in another blog post…

Get To Know Me- 25 Questions Tag

So i thought before i start all this blogging business, you might want to get to know me a little bit better, therefore I completed the 25 questions tag! Have fun reading...

1. Do you have any pets?
No unfortunately not :( i cannot tell you the amount of times i have BEGGED my mum for a dog, but she still says no... i just have to make do with the foxes in the garden ha ha.

2. Name 3 things that are physically close to you.
Hmm well my phone (a completely bashed up BlackBerry), my iPod in a super sparkly case aandd an empty jam jar which I am planning to fill with pens and pencils and any crap i find on my desk (there is a lot.)

3. What's the weather like right now?
HORRIBLE.

4. Do you drive? If so have you crashed?
Nopee i don't drive:)

5. What time did you wake up this morning?
10.30am, surprisingly early for a half term holiday!

6. When was the last time you showered?
Last night i had a lovely long bath, it was lushh.

7. What was the last movie you saw?
I think it was Bad Teacher at my friend Lucy's house, although i fell asleep within the first five minutes so it doesn't really count but ahh well.

8. What does your last text message say?
'CHUBBBYYYYYYYYYYYYY CHEEEEEEEEEEKKSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS' from my younger brother, he's so mature :)

9. What's your ringtone?
The default BlackBerry ringtone like ding ding ding or something.

10. Have you ever been to a different country?
Indeed i have been to multiple countries:
England (does that count?!)
Ireland
France
Germany
Belgium
Switzerland
Spain
Crete (Greek island)
Canada
... i think that is it, but i would LOVE to go to New Zealand and Australia.

11. Do you like sushi?
I love loads of food but sadly sushi is not one of them, not really fan of fish (unless its smoked salmon, i adore smoked salmon.)

12. Where do you buy your groceries?
Er my mother does this for me but either Tescos or Waitrose.

13. Have you ever taken medication to help you fall asleep faster?
Nope.

14. How many siblings do you have?
Two; An older sister who is 16 and a younger brother who is 12, yes i am unfortunately the middle child but it doesn't bother me too much       (lie).

15. Do you have a desktop computer or a laptop?
Both :) and an iPad.

16. How old will you be turning on your next birthday?
15 years of age, wow, i really am getting old *sighhhhhh*

17. Do you wear contacts or glasses?
I have glasses for long distance but i don't even remember the last time i wore them :')

18. Do you color your hair?
I got highlights in my hair aages ago.

19. Tell me something you are planning to do today.
Publish this on my blog, and then make some sort of really rich chocolate cake mmmmmm

20. When was the last time you cried?
In English class watching Wuthering Heights, ITS SO EMOTIONAL :'''''''''''''''( why did Cathy have to die, whyyyyy?!

Bacon omfg, or mushrooms, i loves me a bit of mushrooms.

Cheesburgers, they are soo good

I've had many nearly-all-nighters, i seem to snooze out at the very end...

24. What is your eye color?
Blue :)

25. Can you taste the difference between Pepsi and Coke?
Kind of, i think Pepsi is more sugary or maybe that's just me...
